About Us
Ultratech Automotive has spent more than 30 years building and fabricating bus bodies and special vehicles that are sturdy, state-of-the-art and precisely engineered for the work they're built to do. We've built for private customers, government agencies, NGOs and state transport corporations alike, and every vehicle that leaves our works — from mobile hospitals to large state buses to air-pollution monitoring caravans — is customisable to the brief and finished to a high build quality. That toughness and dependability has been our ethos since day one.
History
Ultratech Automotive Pvt. Ltd. traces its roots to the Automobile Corporation of Goa Limited (ACGL), a joint venture between TATA Motors and the Government of Goa. It was there that our founder, Damodar Kochkar, became the first employee in the bus body-building division, training under a Japanese design team and learning to build and test chassis to exacting standards.
In 1995, he took that experience and struck out on his own, setting up a body-building works at the Verna Industrial Estate. What began as a small operation grew, build by build, into a company trusted by state transport corporations, private fleet operators, government agencies and NGOs across Goa and beyond.
Every handover, from that first bus off the line to the fleets we build for today, has followed the same principle: build it strong enough to survive what its users will actually put it through. That approach has kept customers returning to us for repeat orders and referrals for over 30 years.
